Build codes in Stripe, not a custom engine — Stripe Coupons/Promotion Codes handle the discount math, expiry, usage caps & per-customer limits. This panel is a management mirror.
Trial interaction — decide whether a code applies after the 7-day free trial or extends it.
No double-dipping — referral free-months + a promo code could over-discount. Restrict stacking in Stripe.
Scope per plan/cycle — "50% off" is very different on $9/mo vs $490/yr. Scope each code to specific plans.

How this works Two separate programs
Member referrals (the in-app "Refer & earn" panel) reward regular users with free months of Pro — no cash, handled inside our own app.

Ambassadors (this tab) are recruited promoters paid cash commissions, tracked and paid through Rewardful, which also handles attribution, each ambassador's own dashboard, and tax/payout compliance (W-9 / 1099). Applications come in via the public Ambassadors page. Wiring depends on Stripe billing going live — see Go-Live Checklist.
